/4 thick blade , and it has 8 or more nicks on the blade edge by thumbnail test. The grip is of ray skin and is 98% intact and it has 100% of the original wire wrap , and is mounted with a very ornate hilt (see photos). The blade tip has been sharpened obviously for thrusting , and I added a new blade washer that can be removed if desired. The fancy brass hilt appears to be a cross between an 1850 hand guard with a two branch Cavalry style knuckle guard.
Even the bottom has engraving details along the branches and the knuckle bow. I left a tag that was on it when I got it and it says unknown C. The blade narrows down to 1 W at the tip of the fuller to the tip contour. Thanks for looking and best regards.
